Winemaking
Pressed with great sensitivity and accuracy from native Apulian Verdeca grapes. After being picked by hand, the fully ripe grapes are gently pressed, and the wine is then aged for 6 months in a steel tank.
Our tasting note
In the glass, a brilliant straw-yellow colour with shimmering green reflections. On the nose, notes of fresh fruit: mirabelle plums, grapefruit, Williams pears, pineapple and a hint of citrus. On the palate, an intense start, with a juicy freshness and a seductively soft and creamy fluidity. The broad spectrum of aromas from tasty fruits to flowers arouses enthusiasm straight away. Strong and yet mellow, balanced and refreshing, "Bolina" satisfies with its finesse and elegance to the last. The finish is pleasantly dry, with a slight minerality. A delightfully distinctive white wine with character and a wonderfully mild acidity.
Cantine Rosa del Golfo
Azienda Vinicola Rosa del Golfo is one of the major quality pioneers of Apulia. The young Damiano Calò, son of Mino Calò, who sadly passed away far too early, has mastered the balancing act between tradition and innovation like no other. The result is one of the best rosé wines in Apulia. The use of these high quality grapes - time-consumingly harvested by hand - for a rosé wine, which is then vinified à la français (Saignée method) is itself something of a rarity. However, numerous international awards from one vintage to the next are motivation enough to continue this consistent quality approach.
